Amy Wu

Research Technician

Amy Wu, a New York City native, is a research technician with the Rhee Lab and a graduate student studying Regulatory Science within Biotechnology at Johns Hopkins University. From plating desserts to plating bacteria, Amy has been invested in appreciating the little things in life. Finding her way back to research after a passage working in a dessert bar, she is now closely collaborating on employing CRISPR interference for target gene knockdown along with developing single-cell RNA sequencing by combinatorial indexing in Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Beyond pipetting, Amy can be spotted caffeinating while gorging on sweets, editing her Spotify playlists, or going off to yet another excursion.
