Research Technician
Andrea Tellez, originally from Dallas, Tx is a Research Technician in the Rhee lab. As an undergraduate at Vassar College in the Aitken lab, she worked on the cloning and in vitro transcription of mRNAs to study translation initiation in yeast. She is currently working with Adrian Jinich, postdoctoral researcher in the lab, to purify and characterize unannotated enzymes in M. tuberculosis. Outside of the lab, you can find her trying out new restaurants, baking delicious desserts or hanging out with her cat, Benito.
